His Steadfast Love

(21) But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope:
(22) The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies
never come to an end
(23) they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:21-23 ESV

We are such forgetful people. We rush out of the house, forgetting our grocery list or our lunch. We forget to pick up the mail at the mailbox. We forget to call our mother or other relatives. We are just forgetful at times, especially when we have a lot on our plates—juggling the house, kids, work, and everything else, even being retired.

This carries over into our spiritual walk as well. Forgetting isn’t just in our hear-and-now life on earth. We forget God’s promises and the hope we have in Him. We forget we are God’s favorite (yes, YOU are). We forget that we are chosen and forever deeply loved by our God. We tend to forget.

What we don’t want to forget is God’s steadfast LOVE for us. We can get so wrapped up in our day-to-day life and struggles sometimes we can temporarily forget His loves is always there, and it will never run out. Let’s face it, we’re all subject to feeling unworthy, ashamed for whatever in our life, which can lead us to think we’ve unloved by God. Don’t you think He knows all about you? Don’t you think He sees the difficulties you’ve had, the decisions you’ve made, the choices that weren’t the best—BUT through it all, He still LOVES YOU!

The Lord’s steadfast love never ceases verse 22 says. It’s time we let this revelation and truth sink deep into our hearts and minds. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done, what you are doing now, where you live, or anything else. Once His love is poured into your heart, you’re never the same. Knowing He loves you no matter what is a game changer. Knowing He will always love you is a game changer. Knowing He will never leave you because His love for you is so strong, nothing can separate you from His love.

It’s time to get a fresh revelation of God’s love for YOU. Meditate on verse 22 and John 3:16. Then you can stand strong and joyful in His love.
