Just A Thought – March 4, 2021
March 4, 2021A coin has 2 sides, i.e., head and tails. A piece of paper has the front and back side. A book has a front cover and a back cover. In our further understanding of God’s kaleidoscope of His grace, we saw from Romans 8:1 because we are in Christ there is no condemnation against us. So, if there is no condemnation on one side of the coin, what’s on the other side?
The righteousness of God for every believer. Paul shares this truth again in 2 Corinthians 5:21 ESV when he says, “For our sake he [God] made him [Christ] to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him [Christ] we might become the righteousness of God.” That’s an amazing truth.
After Paul gave the great news of no condemnation in Romans 8:1 he further states the law of the spirit of life has set us free in Christ Jesus in verse 2. Condemnation was on one side of the coin but now we turn it over and find God’s righteousness operating in us, not condemnation.
Many times believers get stuck behind false information saying they’re not worthy, or they’ve messed up too many times for God to love them or work in their lives. Simply stated, they’ve turned the kaleidoscope of God’s love and grace and instead received a lie that keeps them frantically turning the kaleidoscope to find fulfillment and love in God.
The most important thing you can remember is that God loves you, He doesn’t condemn you in any way, and His arms are always open to hold and care for you. When you’re His child, you’re wrapped in His righteousness—right standing before God—that no one or anything can take away from you.
Let your kaleidoscope zero in on your righteousness in Christ Jesus today, and be set free in His love and acceptance.
