Your Confident Expectation

I trust you’ve come to recognize that God is the God of Hope. He’s not mean, bad, or out to get you. He’s a loving God, and a God of Hope. Romans 15:13, Amplified version gives us a picture of who He is and what He provides. Read this verse as a promise to you because it’s true and the reality of this truth can change your life.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.”

HOPE, Biblical hope, is expectation. It is based in confidence. The Greek gives the meaning ‘to anticipate usually with pleasure.” HOPE gives you HOPE. God is the author of HOPE, therefore He is the God of Hope. When you don’t have any hope, you can go to the source and receive all the hope you need. His supply never runs out. And His hope fills you with joy and peace through faith as you trust and believe Him.

He’s got the supply, and you’re in need; therefore, allow Him to fill you full of hope because that’s when you will abound in hope. Hope is confident expectation – of what? Of the reality of His promises, of good for you.

Let the truth and power of this verse encourage and strengthen you today. Let your heart and mind dwell and meditate on the Word. Therein is your hope, your confident expectation.
