Just A Thought
June 2, 2023Grace, as one definition, is confident expectation in God’s goodness and love. We could also say grace is a power that connects with our faith to God’s faithfulness in His promises.
Clint Byars explains it more in depth this way: “GRACE is a supernatural power that works in your heart that gives you capacities and abilities. It’s a divine influence in your inner man to strengthen you. God gives you grace through unmerited favor, but grace is more than just favor, it’s strength.”
So then, you begin with faith, and as God’s presence influences your inner man, it allows God’s spiritual power of grace to build His character and promises into your life. Grace is much more than just favor. It’s strength and power for you as a believer.
That’s why you can walk in hope—confident expectation of God’s goodness—because you’ve connected faith and grace, the confident expectation of good that resonates and builds hope within your heart.
Hebrews 10:23, NLT encourages us to “hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep His promises.”
Never underestimate the power of God’s love for you, and never underestimate the power of His grace operating in your life. It’s yours.
