With so many things up in the air throughout the world, you may wonder what the future looks like. Let me ask you this question: WHO holds your future?
We can get so discouraged and downhearted when we listen to the news each day. Sometimes, quite frankly, we turn it off. It’s amazing that in this day and age we can get instant information on what is going on in other parts of the world.
Let’s not get sidetracked in our view of life or all that the Lord has for us by the bad news we hear. We hear enough of what’s wrong in the world and with people. It’s time to focus on what we have because of Jesus!
So, let me ask the question again: WHO holds your future?
Read and meditate on these following verses to encourage you through your day and the days ahead because the Lord has good things ahead for you, and He’s always faithful. Let the Word (ESV) strengthen your heart to continue believing Him.
Psalm 139: 1-24, specifically verses 4-5 “Even before a word is on my tongue behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me.”
Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Psalm 31:15, “My times are in your hand; rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from my persecutors!”
1 Peter 1:3-4, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.”
Zephaniah 3:17, “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love;”
Isaiah 40:31, “but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”
Lamentations 3:22-23, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
