Creator Jesus Pt. 1

I did a search on what holds the universe together. Why doesn’t it just fly apart? Some of the answers I found leave a lot to be desired.

“The universe is one big whirligig, composed of planets, stars, and galaxies that produce centrifugal force as they spin. What keeps all this stuff from shooting outward? Gravity. But there’s a problem: All the physical matter known to scientists couldn’t generate enough gravity to keep the universe from flying apart. Physicists have a name for the unobserved particles that presumably account for the remaining gravity we feel: dark matter.

“This spring, the most sensitive experiment ever to look for dark matter, led by Columbia physicist Elena Aprile, presented its first findings. The project, called XENON100, hasn’t yet found the elusive particle. But Aprile and her colleagues, who include three dozen physicists from nine institutions, say that their negative results are important nonetheless, as they cast doubt on other scientists’ claims to have already spotted dark matter.” (Columbia Magazine)

Einstein said, “We see a universe marvelously arranged, obeying certain laws, but we understand the laws only dimly. Our limited minds cannot grasp the mysterious force that sways the constellations.”

“The physicist Stephen Hawking attempted to tie quantum mechanics into the universe picture and claimed, “if you wind the universe back to the beginning, time loses its distinct nature and effectively becomes space. With this no boundary hypothesis, the universe did not have an origin, not at least one we would ever really understand.”

Doesn’t sound like they have any answers. I’ve always thought what actually held the universe together was “cosmic glue.” You can’t see it as other physicists say. Others say it’s dark matter, but yet haven’t seen any. The “cosmic glue” I’m referring to is Jesus, the Word. And He (Jesus) is the radiance of His glory (God’s) and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His (Jesus) power (Hebrews 1:3 NASB). Jesus holds the world together by his Word. He is the Word. The world is held together with words and by words. By the power of the Word everything keeps from flying apart. I know most physicists can’t accept that theory, but to me the scriptures say Jesus holds the world together, so is more than a theory. And yes Jesus is the origin of the universe. Next week I’ll look at this a little more.
