The Power of MY Words

We’ve looked at the power of our words, and we need to continue to feed our minds with God’s thoughts about us. Let’s not dwell on the past or the previous words thrown at us that bogged us down.

Let’s change that scenario today. Let’s get a picture of God’s love for us. Let’s change our thoughts and our words. Go ahead, you can say it:  God loves me just the way I am! He knows my weaknesses, my faults, and loves me beyond those. Jesus came to draw people into His family. His family is a family of LOVE. “By this you shall know them by their love” (John 13:35).

It’s time to draw from the unending supply of God’s love and let His love transform our thinking and feeling about ourselves and others. When we can allow His love to transform us, we’ll be changed from the inside out. That’s when the world will take notice because they’ll see His love in action through us.

Let’s start by grasping how deep, how wide His love is for us. “For God SO LOVED…” You may not feel like you’re loveable but begin to tell yourself God Loves Me! Let the truth sink into your mind, your heart, and speak it to yourself. You’ll see a big difference when you do. You will feel lighter, have more joy in your heart, and probably smile more because you are activating God’s Word, His promises, into your life. Nothing will change until you change your words. Speak words of encouragement, of hope to yourself. You ARE smart. You ARE good. You ARE a winner, not a loser. That’s also how God sees you, so agree with Him.

Recognize God’s power behind His Word, so when you speak His Word, you’re changing your world. Be encouraged and strengthened. You ARE beautiful. You ARE blessed. Let Isaiah 55:11 below strengthen your resolve to speak His thoughts, His Words, to yourself—and others.

“So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not
return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall
accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall
prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
