Does it seem to you as though the days move faster? Here, we’re already into June! Nearly half of 2026 is behind us. I think the older you get, the faster it seems that time goes. Would you agree?

Regardless, each day we have opportunities to see God’s power and love demonstrated in our lives.

I’m reminded of a scripture in Galatians 6:10 (ESV), “So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.”  The Apostle Paul prefaced this verse by encouraging the Ephesian believers not to grow weary or tired in well-doing. In other words, don’t get tired of being helpful to others. Don’t get tired of encouraging someone else. Your smile might be the only positive thing they see that day.  We all can have times or days of being discouraged for a number of reasons, but when someone is nice to us, or we get a call from a friend who says they were thinking of you, it really gives you a boost, doesn’t it?

Let’s be mindful of our friends, family, and others we meet during our days, and be ready to not only give a smile, but perhaps further encouragement. And, if they are believers, share a scripture of encouragement with them. It might just be the word they need at that moment to continue pushing forward.
