There would be no Christianity without Christ. We would still be in our sins and under the law trying to work our way to righteousness, which is clearly an uphill battle that leads to nowhere. But… “And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21 NKJV). One of the main purposes of Jesus entering this world was to save people from their sins. The old way was not working and God’s ultimate plan in the fullness of time was to insert Jesus into this moment in history.
