Provision Scriptures Excerpt
Psalm 23:1 Psalm 23:5 Psalm 23:6 Psalm 24:5
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.”
Jesus is your shepherd (John 10:11). There is no lack when He is your shepherd. A good shepherd takes care of the sheep. Jesus is the Good Shepherd, and He knows His sheep (John 10:14). The sheep know His voice. A shepherd leads the flock, not drives the flock. Follow the Shepherd, and you will not lack.
“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies:
you anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.”
God even prepares a feasting table in the very midst of troubling times. It’s like sitting in the freeway and eating safely. If it seems like the enemy is attacking you, sit down and feast at His table. Jesus makes it all possible as He has defeated our enemy.
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”
Did you realize that God’s goodness and grace follow you wherever you go? There is never a day when you won’t see the goodness of God. God is abundantly good to you. As Oral Roberts used to say, “Something good is going to happen to you today.” Believe it. God has your back!
“He shall receive the blessing from the LORD,
and righteousness from the God of his salvation.”
The root word for the Hebrew word salvation is to “make wide” or “make sufficient.” The God of our salvation is the God of blessing. Yeshua is the Hebrew name of Jesus and means salvation. The name Jesus is actually the English translation of the Greek word Iēsous. Therefore, Jesus means salvation. Everything salvation stands for is in the name of Jesus.
